Demanding immediate arrest of Jawaharlal Nehru University students, including doctoral student Umar Khalid, facing sedition charges, a lawyer blocked the main gate of the university by parking his car in front of the gate for over two hours.Around 3 pm, advocate Rajesh Sharma parked his Innova car in front of the main gate of the JNU campus. When security personnel directed him to remove his car, Mr Sharma refused to do so.He told the police that he will move from the spot only after arrest of all the five students accused of alleged involvement in anti-national activities on the campus. The Delhi police officer present at the gate passed on the information to his seniors. At around 5.15 pm, the police informed the lawyer that the high court had heard a https://www.lskmj.com plea filed by Mr Khalid and another student and that the hearing will continue on Wednesday.After getting details of the developments in the high court, Mr Sharma agreed to clear the blocked entrance of the university campus and removed his car.
